Programs: Business Adminstration
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Business Administration Program is designed to provide students with a business-oriented education that is specialized yet comprehensive. It offers a solid foundation in a variety of business subjects, including Business Communication, Marketing, Administration, Management, Accounting, Information Systems, and Human Resource Management. These courses will give students an introduction to current business practices, preparing them to apply a disciplined and professional approach to business administration.
FUTURE PROSPECT
Business Administration graduates are qualified for entry-level positions in small to medium-sized companies in the areas of office administration, marketing, sales, and management.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma, High School Completion Certificate, or equivalent.
- C+ or better in English 12, or a TOEFL score of 500, or other proof of
English proficiency.
(Students who are not able to show proof of sufficient English proficiency
to handle the college courses will be enrolled in the college preparation
courses prior to taking the regular credit courses in the program. Please
refer to Admissions for more detail.)
PROGRAM OF STUDY
CCAB offers both short-term and long-term programs leading to certificate and/or diploma designations. The Certificate each comprises 5 business courses in an area of specialization. The Diploma in Business Administration comprises 20 courses and provides a thorough knowledge in business.

Diploma in Business Administration: successful completion of 5 General Education courses, 5 Business Core courses, and 10 Business Elective courses.
Certificate in Business Administration: successful completion of 3 General Education courses and 7 Business courses (30 credits).
Office Assistant Specialization: ACTG 1100, BUSI 1100, BUSI 1500, BUSI 1510, BUSI 1600, covers the essential skills to perform as an office assistant.
Customer Service Specialization: BUSI 1100, BUSI 1400, BUSI 1500, BUSI 1510, CMNS 1120, specializes interpersonal skills in servicing customers.
Accounting Assistant Specialization: ACTG 1100, ACTG 1300, ACTG 1400, BUSI 1100, BUSI 1500, introduces students to start a career in accounting field.
Supervisory Skills Specialization: BUSI 1100, BUSI 1110, BUSI 1200 or 1220, BUSI 2230 or 2250, CMNS 1110, provides new supervisors with the skills required to manage effectively.
