Programs: Hospitality Management
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The hospitality industry is a rapidly growing market that encompasses hotel, food services, tourism, event management, and club and resort management. Job opportunities, as well as salaries, are steadily increasing in all sectors of this service-oriented field. Employers seek individuals who possess technical knowledge, practical skills, good communication skills, and strong leadership skills. The best candidates for positions are those that have the ability to anticipate the needs of customers, and to deliver exceptional customer service.
The Hospitality Management Program at CCAB offers a range of both short- and long-term certificate and diploma courses, which are certified by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) to meet professional industry standards. Courses certified by AHLA are recognized by employers and institutions throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. The curriculum will prepare students for work in all areas of hospitality, such as office administration, housekeeping, catering, and marketing.
FUTURE PROSPECT
Graduates of hospitality diploma and certificate programs usually gain employment at the entry-level from which progress can be made to management positions. Students may also pursue further studies that can eventually lead to Certified Hotel Administrator.
